Spring edition, issue 005

Dear friends,

Wherever you find yourselves in this exceptional moment, I send my love. Greetings from lockdown.

It’s been some weeks since I last wrote and hasn’t the world changed? I thought that the arrival of our new baby girl, Phoebe, may interrupt business as usual, but it feels like all ‘normal life’ has been eclipsed since then.

We’re now all at home, my work has almost entirely disappeared overnight, and we’re adjusting to life as a family of four within severely confined borders. We’re finding our way through this, as most of you are, but the promise of spring feels somewhat warped now, as if viewed through thick glass.

Which brings me back to Frames. The last email finished off our winter season, and with it the black and white theme. I had a very different idea for how I would codify the spring season, but, as now things are the way they are, my socially-distanced theme for this new set of pictures will be: from the archive.
